Dinner at Yours

Food blogs are back! I cannot even remember when was the last time I wrote a restaurant review here, but it is about time.

Unfortunately, with the pandemic, we have seen many businesses close down, and this is why I believe we need to support more than ever our local restaurants now that they are back open and we can eat inside.

Despite these difficult times, new businesses are opening, and as well, I believe we need to give them an opportunity. I haven’t been furloughed at all in, so now I need to give something back to support these restaurants.

Last month, I had the opportunity to visit one of those new restaurants in Manchester, I went to the opening night at Yours.

Yours is a new Pan Asian restaurant situated on Deansgate, with contemporary decor, it is different to other restaurants that you can find on Deansgate and I have to say I was very impressed when we went in.

As mentioned, the deco is amazing, but the best thing about this place is the food, wow! I did not realise how much I have missed a good meal out until I got here. We went for the opening night and we had the opportunity to taste a great selection of their dishes, obviously along with some delicious cocktails.

The many dishes that we had included from Sushi roll selection and the Tempura prawns to Satay chicken skewers, Cod steamed in banana leaf and Beef fillet. You can check the full menu here.

Sushi selection

One of my favourite dishes was the Satay chicken skewers, they were delicious, served with crispy rice noodles and pak choy, definitely something that I recommend to order if you visit this place. The chicken was chargrilled and moist with an amazing satay sauce, I love peanuts and the satay sauce was the best I have had in a long time. The Beef fillet also was great, cooked perfectly (medium rare) and with a baby onion salsa that elevated it to the next level.

Of course, I wouldn’t leave the place without tasting some of the desserts on the menu. I have a sweet tooth and my eyes were all over the dark chocolate cake. If the food was great, the desserts were even better, what would you think if I say: Dark chocolate cake, raspberries, thyme, manuka honey and yoghurt ice cream? Well… have a look at the picture below and you will find a dream dessert, the perfect way to finish an evening full of joy and great fantastic food with friends.
