Alex Carro Skin Care

I have been waiting to write this post for a couple of weeks now, and I am so excited to finally tell you about possibly one of the brands that have impressed me the most.

Alex Carro is a brand that I have been following for a long time, and have been very curios to use as their products really intrigue me. Despite other brands that I have used, and I have published here, Alex Carro’s products can be used on their own or mixed with each other to generate a different product suited for your skin.

But let me tell you about Alex Carro and their products. They are based in Barcelona, the brand develops these mixable products in the studio where they analyze different plants, herbs, essential oils and fruit acids to obtain the natural ingredients that will be used to create the natural and cruelty-free skincare. Their products represent different Mediterranean landscapes, and by opening the box you can feel the serenity that their products transmit. The packaging is minimalist and reflects that unisex characteristic, and the products are designed for all skin types.

As I mentioned before, one of the things that really impress me, is the ability to blend two of their products together and produce a personalized product adapted to your own needs. These are the five products:

• Balancing Face Oil

• Facial Cleanser

• Exfoliating Powder

• Face Cream

• Multiuse Balm

Balancing Face Oil

This product is perfect for a healthy and natural look as the Balancing Oil hydrates and regenerates the skin. I just add a couple of drops on my face and spread with the fingertips, it can seem a bit oily after applying, but it absorbs quickly, and my skin looks brighter and smoother, I can feel the difference even more the morning after, when my skin looks radiant. It contains argan oil that will contribute to the cell regeneration and will repair any damage on the skin. I have mixed it with the Facial Cleanser creating a facial mask that I keep on for 20mins, after applying it feels like I have been hydrating my face for the whole day, 100% recommended if you have dry skin.

Facial Cleanser

With a light citrus scent, this silky facial cleanser will remove the impurities from your skin. It is easy to use and usually, I use it with my foreo luna mini. Firstly wash your face, apply it and massage into your skin with either your fingers or something like the Foreo, make sure you use warm water for the best results, then rinse your face. The natural ingredients help to hydrate the skin and add a radiant balance to your skin. I like to mix it with the Exfoliating Powder for a deeper cleanse, both mix really well, and the results are incredible.

Exfoliating Powder

This was probably the product that really surprised me as it is the first time that I have used an exfoliating powder. The Powder includes Tapioca, Bamboo and Coconut shell that provides that granulated texture that will remove the dead skin, the oils and extracts help to smooth and regenerate the skin. You can mix half a teaspoon with water, but personally, the quantity is up to you, when I mix it with The Facial Cleanser I use a bit more.

Face Cream

What a discovery! As it happened before with the other products, I like it so much that I try to use it in tiny quantities, I do not want it to finish. This is ideal now for winter months, now that we start to feel the cold and the wind every day, It provides a deep hydration and protection leaving my skin looking refreshed and glowing. It contains Jojoba Oil and Hyaluronic Acid which keep the skin moisturised and flawless during the day.

Multiuse Balm

The name describes this product, you can use it for different things or skin issues. Personally, it worked really well when I was on holiday last month in the Dominican Republic as I got a bit burnt. The Balm hydrated and restored my skin quickly, and I could feel how my skin was recovering the natural look after using it for two days. The balm includes neroli, cocoa and shea butter, very common products in cosmetics that help to hydrate and restore the skin, so I use for my lips too as I get really cracked lips.
